Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with some very light surface rust here and there. Excellent working order. Stock is fine with some light handling marks. This gun is NOT maker marked. Has the original worm in a trap on the bottom of the stock. Brass is engraved. The buttplate is a bit bent. Smoothbore, roughly 12 gauge or .75 caliber. The front brass ramrod ferrule has come unsoldered on one side but is still secured to the barrel. The stock has some relief carving, most noticeably a flower behind the barrel tang. Barrel is roughly 36 inches long. Has 18.22 carved into the bottom of the stock. Appears to be French in style. Made sometime in the late 1700's to early 1800's.
